Our Dance to Health family is growing, and we’d love for you to be a part. We’re looking for people dedicated to arts and health, with an interest in falls prevention, to help oversee branches of Aesop’s Dance to Health.

Our new sustainable governance model, made possible thanks to funding from Innovate UK, means we’ll be setting up branches of Dance to Health in Dudley, Swansea and Norfolk, where all groups will be overseen by Community Boards.

Community Boards are a new, more collaborative way of working to embed our groups with direct involvement from the communities they serve. We’re looking for people local to these areas to join their respective Community Board, either as chair, treasurer, secretary, or another support role.

We need people who are experts or advocates in falls prevention, or health and wellbeing for older people. We’re also looking for people who are practical and proactive and good at getting things done.

Each Community Board will work alongside our Local Group Representation Committee, which will be made up of participants, volunteers and Dance Artists from each of the Dance to Health groups. The Committee represents the views of all the participants and ensures that they are actively involved in how the sustainable groups are run and develop.

Could you be part of a Community Board? If you live in Dudley, Norwich or Swansea and are passionate about falls prevention or health and wellbeing for older people, we would love to hear from you.
